I cant’ believe that I bought a checked blazer. It’s one of the “must haves” of the autumn and I think we’ll love it because it has a lot of possibilites and we can find it in a lot of versions (small tartan print, with embroidery details, in different colours… ).
When I see someone wearing a tartan jacket or a checked blazer like this, I love it, but I always think that it doesn’t fit me as well as them. I think that the reason is why tartan often gives us more volume. So If you want to buy a tartan jacket or a checked blazer, I suggest buying an oversized and long blazer with a small tartan print.
About the print, Wales checks and “pied de coque” are in fashion as all kind of clothes inspired in seventies, like trousers with plieds, opened ballerinas, blouses with bows, turtle sweaters, midi skirts or kitten heels.
Mixing a checked blazer
All kind of hats are also in fashion: from the clasic fedora to the beanies and the new trend: the baker- boy hat. I think beanies are really uncomfortable and I prefer fedora hats or baker-boy hats, because are easier to mix. The baker-boy hat which I’m wearing in these photos was bought a lot of years ago in Cádiz (Spain) and it appeared while I was cleaning my wardorbe, but If you like it, you can buy one similar in Zara or Stradivarius.
The rest of the outfit is very easy: black jeans, mules and a working bag ;)
I hope you like it and inspires you for mixing your new checked blazer. If you don’t like enough, check my Pinterest account: there are more outfits with checked blazer and you can chose your favourite!
